This is a delightful book with funny stories about meeting planning that takes you to international destinations. I have worked in the hotel industry in the past, and was very entertained while reading this book!
It was a book that might appeal to teenagers. I was shocked that someone in our book club recommended it. If anyone wants to read it, I will sell it back to them.

A perfect story for film in the tradition of Devil Wears Prada and Eat Love Pray. Pennington shares the crazy life of an event planner while searching for real meaning in her life.

this book. Fun, fast , and a great beach book.
It's a gem of a book. Reading it, I found myself captivated by the fast-paced plot and beautifully drawn characters. Moreover, all the while, the linguist in me was noticing an absolutely delightful language. The book is chock full of creative turns of phrases, sometimes bold, off-the-wall and always achieving the desired effect - to tell a fascinating story in a light and funny, yet a very perceptive, way.
I liked the language and the text structure of each chapter so much that next time I'm teaching a university course that has text-analysis as one of the topics, I'm going to include samples from the book in my teaching materials.
It's hands down a five-star book. Read it! You'll love it!
I read this book and laughed my way through it as I recognized every single character in it. Janee brings to life the crazy world of event planning with a story that is laugh-out-loud funny and would be outrageous if not so very true. For anyone in our world (and even for people who aren't) this piece of fiction is our life on its pages. I giggled. I cringed. I smiled. I shuddered. And I thoroughly enjoyed.
